Selah. Stop. Listen. Pause. Reflect. In Hebrew, the systematic meaning of this word is unknown, yet it has been widely speculated. One thing translators and commentators do seem to agree on is that the word intimates the importance of the passage preceding it. This word is used predominately in the book of Psalm. Personally, I believe there is no greater place in Scripture to slow down, hear from God and reflect on Him than God's songbook!
Inviting you to drink deeply from His Word, this self pacing study offers twelve lessons on Happiness and Righteousness; Songs for waking and sleeping; Considering God's Name, His Enemies, His Creation; Declaring His Glory; God's Goodness; Waiting on God; Godliness and much more. Each lesson begins with scripture to read, an introduction to the study, related topical questions with additional scripture references and concludes with the Selah, Pause, and Think on These Things points. Space is provided for short answers although I suspect keeping a journal nearby would be beneficial to your personal quiet time reflections. As someone who spent several months learning from the book of Psalms alongside Charles Spurgeon's Treasury of David, I can assure you that a journey into Psalms can be quite satisfying. KJV is recommended although other versions may work if you have access to an online KJV for any translation differences. 105 pgs, sc. ~ Deanne

Practice learning the calendar with colorful, strong magnets. Kids love to wake up and change the date on their perpetual calendar! The large calendar is a single layer of magnet 12†x 14†that can stick to a refrigerator, file cabinet or magnetic white board. Store the various little magnets right on the board itself. There is a spot to show the day of the week, the numbers in the date, the month, the season, and the daily weather – even if the temperature feels hot or cold. All of these words are on separate flat magnets in cheerful colors. Four small holes in the corners let you attach it to a non-magnetic wall with pushpins or nails. The small calendars have a different format. These come in a little magnetic folder (7†square) to store all of your wee magnet pieces. It stays shut with a hook and loop dot. On the front is a grid to place the day, the date numbers, the month, weather and even special events like holidays and birthdays. A sturdy cord is knotted through the top from which it can be carried or hung on a wall or even a doorknob. Pink is a two-tone pastel/bright pink. Blue is a two-tone aqua/pale blue. Not only are these calendars a great teaching tool, they are cute enough for gift giving! Think of one as a sibling gift or maybe in a spring Easter basket. ~Sara
