An all around guide to creation science, I was impressed with the wide variety of subjects the book touches on. Using a fairly common question to start off each chapter, it then delves into various subjects for detailed answers. For example, the book starts off with the question, "Is There Really a God?" It then talks about how order is always taken as a sign of a creator and how information can't really rise from non information. The questions range from such creation-related topics as the doom of dinosaurs, gap & ruin reconstruction theory, distant starlight, why Christians shouldn't accept billions of years, and hybrid theories. The questions are approached scientifically, biblically, and logically. Clear, relatively concise answers mean that this book is kind of a crash course in Intelligent Design. While there are books that deal specifically with fossils, or specifically with hybrid creation/evolution theories, this is an excellent book to get you in the loop with creation science. Written by Ken Ham and various creation scientists, it is 378 pgs, softcover. A revised and updated edition of the Answers Book. ~ Mark

Many books have been written to examine the evidence of our origins and refute the theory of evolution, but rarely have I seen a book that looks at the effects of evolutionary theory on history. In this case, the focus is even more specific as authors Ken Ham and A. Charles Ware expose the close-knit relationship shared by evolutionary thought and racism throughout U.S. History. The chapters discuss examples of racism through history as it can be traced to evolutionary thought; racism of the 20th and 21st centuries and how even Christians have been tainted by evolutionary thinking; the basics of genetics, natural selection and the theory of evolution; the diversity of mankind in a biblical light, the origin of the word ââ‚Å"raceâ₝ and if there are truly ââ‚Å"racesâ₝ of humans; interracial marriages in the light of biblical principles; and finally, a plan and suggestions for using the Bible as our basis for fighting racism and bringing people together. A fascinating, biblically-based look at what is one of the biggest issues of our times. 196 pgs, pb. ââ‚" Jess

Lots of kids wonder about this. Take a journey back in time with Tracker John and D.J. (Dino Jr.). In this educational adventure, they'll explore the world through the flood, learn about dinosaurs, and how sin changed the world. Full-color illustrations add to the interest, as this book answers young children's questions about creation, dinosaurs, and the flood, both scientifically and Biblically.

Whether or not you've read the book, this is a fascinating DVD. You learn a lot about the construction and theories about the ark, while on-screen models are built at high speeds. It takes it much further than just covering the different theories; it shows what other people think about the ark's design. It also shows different ark designs and describes why some designs wouldn't actually work. It's a very good DVD for learning about Noah's ark and all the surrounding debates about it. The computer-generated images are nice, too, like the two-by-two animals walking into the ark. 25 min.

Travel back in time, back to the beginning when the world was born, back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This children's book written by Ken Ham transports your young ones back in time by putting them in the role of time travelers to visit the story of man. They will don their time-travel gear and stop in at the story of creation, visit Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden, observe dinosaurs in ancient times, go forward to the flood, and witness the effects of sin in the world. KJV Bible references are included to offer support for the information being presented. Throughout their travels they will encounter all types of dinosaurs and learn about them from a Biblical perspective. Many dinosaurs are illustrated with an explanation of their name – Camarasaurus (chambered reptile), Seismosaurus (earthquake reptile), and Oviraptor (egg thief) to name just a few. This cutely illustrated, 64-page, hardcover book is great for dinosaur lovers without the 'millions of years' perspective. ~ Donna

This teacher-directed Bible book alphabetically presents the importance of trusting God’s promises using the story of Noah and the flood. Using the tent format book, the teacher presents the lesson from one side while the student views the cartoon-illustrated, poem-format story on the opposite side. This children’s book is designed to help parents teach 30 Bible doctrines. First is an overview of the Gospel, from Creation to until Christ’s return, related through rhyming quatrain poetry. The best part of this book, I feel, is the Bible lesson portion. The 30 lessons cover key distinctives of the Christian faith: grace, the trinity, sin, judgment, forgiveness, etc. Each lesson begins with a brief Scripture and then a brief explanation of each doctrine. Families can memorize the Scripture and the doctrines (as a Catechism). Then, “Tuck in Questions” spur discussion with your children. Two questions are provided for each lesson and then one is allowed for personalization. Notes at the bottom of each lesson indicate which page to find the detailed “Additional Helps” for the parent. These Helps expand on doctrine, providing specific verses for support. This portion would serve as a good review for the parent or an overview for a new Christian. A minor negative are the illustrations. Some of the portrayals are a bit odd: hell, for example, is drawn as though it is a sinkhole. Overall, this is a book which will help pass on your Christian faith. Foreword by Ken Ham. 8 1/8” x 10 1/8”, 99 pp, hc. ~ Ruth

The New Answers Book has been very popular for Christians who want to find quick, detailed, scientifically and biblically accurate answers to common questions about Creationism and Intelligent Design. This second book follows in its steps, answering 30 more questions dealing with Creation/Evolution and the Bible. These questions seem a bit more complex and culturally focused than those in the first book. Using Genesis and science as a basis, the book answers questions ranging from the origin of evil, if evolution fits with the Bible, how a Christian should respond to gay marriage, and if Creationists can believe in physics like relativity, quantum mechanics, and string theory. The book does a good job of showing how the "evolutionizing" of our culture is not just affecting science – it's affecting most aspects of our society. With 30 common questions answered in a concise, intelligent way by various experts in the Creationism field, this book covers an impressive variety of subjects linked to evolution. What an incredible retelling of a well-known story. The breathtaking pictures give the story more depth than any comparable story of Noah that I have ever read before. The pictures alone inspire a new wonderment of the story of the Flood, and the text adds to that to produce a book which Ken Ham says is, "…a fantastic reading book for the whole family…a coffee table witnessing book and a wonderful gift idea for non-Christians to challenge them concerning the truth of the Bible." I think you'll agree when you see this one. An audiobook CD is included in the book. ~ Zach

When you look around your church, how many twenty-somethings do you see? Ken Ham and Britt Beemer try to explain in their book why kids are quitting the church. They offer some very thought-provoking statistics which are the result of hours and hours of research along with interviews and statements by young people. We are losing many of our children as early as the elementary school ages, and it has nothing to do with how they are schooled. Young people from public schools, private schools, and homeschooled families are walking away from the church – Why? The explanation given in this book will surprise you. According to the authors, this epidemic is a result of a failing system within our churches causing a huge chasm between our children and church. It isn't enough to be alarmed; we have to move to action. Mr. Ham and Mr. Beemer offer suggestions on how we can make a difference and stop the spread of this epidemic. Whether you agree with the causes stated by the authors in this book, I think we would all agree that we are losing our young people to the ways of the world. As Christians we all need to help redirect our youth and rebuild the future church.

If you attend church on Sundays, chances are you don't believe in evolution but that God created the world in six literal days. However, if someone asked you what the Bible has to say about eugenics and the existence of God, or how human and chimp DNA could be so similar, would you have biblical answers? Ken Ham has compiled the work of such men as Dr. John Morris and Bodie Hodge into chapters that address issues ranging from evolution and what Noah's Ark must have looked like to the possibility of life coming from space, all from a strictly biblical perspective. Dr. Jason Lisle wrote a chapter in the book entitled "Is the Christian Worldview Logical?" and addresses the misconception of faith and the laws of logic, demonstrating how Christian presuppositions are true and secular presuppositions have circular reasoning. Each chapter is broken into short sections with illustrations and pictures spread throughout, making the information easy to absorb. All the information presented is reinforced by factual claims from a wide range of sources. This book will make for exciting reading that will not only educate but influence your thinking for years to come, and give you confidence when an evolutionist asks you one day, "How could the biblical account be true since the Grand Canyon must have been formed over millions of years?" 381 pgs, pb. – John
